November 13 ~ St. Martin of Tours, The Ideal Saint - Dr. Lou Yock

November 27 ~ What Moves Us; Unitarian Universalist Theology - Rev. Catherine Harrington

And let me tell you, if you have indeed been renewed in the spirit of your minds, it will [show] it self in your lives. — Charles Chauncy (1705-1787)
This sermon introduces Charles Chauncy's Theology of Spiritual Renewal which is based on the fifth workshop from the UU Theology Curriculum written by UU theologian, Thandeka. Chauncy's mid-18th-century theological program for spiritual wholeness and moral action is framed into viable theological steps relevant to our own lives today as Unitarian Universalists.

SILENCE IS APPRECIATED DURING THE PRELUDE.

RE NEWS NOVEMBER 2011 from Lou

With October ended and November beginning, we happily find our class size increasing. The topics we are studying are empathy and tolerance. This season we are using a few more videos and songs from YouTube, including Peter, Paul, and Mary's, "Don't Laugh At Me," which is the theme of the Southern Poverty Law Center's curriculum on Teaching Tolerance. As always, if someone would like to help out with a class, or just be one to sit and attend as an assistant (for those times when Jill cannot come), please let Lou know.
